Colors, Colors, and more Colors

After we learn or review our procedures and rules in the art room, we move into colors. I know it is boring but it lets me teach and reteach painting procedures and see if they were listening during the instructions for washing hands and cleaning up. Everyone learns primary and secondary colors, even Kindergarten. It is important to know! First and Second also stick with the basics but go into more detail of using the water cup and paintbrush.  Third grade through fifth grade go deeper learning the intermediate colors.  Everyone is happy to just be "doing art" or painting that they don't care what we are learning.  Here are a few shots from last few weeks.
