Where The Wild Things Are

Our school theme this year was "Wild About Learning," with that I decided to have my 2nd graders draw a wild thing. After reading the book and discussing how the wild things have different features. I showed them how to draw general wild thing and had them go wild adding details. We used a black or brown crayon for the outline, then using other colors that added their details. We had also discussed lines so we tried to sti, ck to lines as we filled in the body. Some kept my same wild thing and others addes extra hair, horns and eyes. Here are a few examples.
