Mardi Gras Mask

I know this is a little late but we have been so busy with art show time and mock testing. Yes, I am a test proctor so my schedule is canceled when we are in testing time. Since Lake Wales is very well known for their Mardi Gras parade, I decided for my art majors to make a mask to wear to the parade. I had bought a mask from New Orleans over Thanksgiving break. I used this mask to make a pattern. I cut them out of poster board to ensure strength. I then cut through the sides to make the holes for the eyes, then taped the area I cut into. After that I used a hole puncher to make holes for the yarn. I had yarn donated which was multiple colors. I only tied one side in case they wanted to add a stick to the side instead of tying it on their head. Lastly I spray painted them green, just in case they didn't get to decorate the whole mask. I pulled out the feathers, glitter, sequins and glue and let them go to town.
