Today is February 1st, which allows me to take art in the direction of pink, purple, hearts, glitter and flowers. Since we have had so many Mondays' off I was a little confused which class was starting, started and finished with their Valentine's Day art projects. I love all holidays and as certain holidays pass and new ones arrive my favorite holiday changes to what ever holiday is here. I have adorned myself with a heart apron, heart plastic gloves and pulled out all my pink, purple and red outfits. Every grade is working on different projects:
Kindergarten is creating a symmetrical vase and stamp flowers, this lesson came from my favorite blog www.deepspacesparkle.com.
First Grade is painting paper to cut out, staple together and stuff to make a heart door hanger or as my students requested a necklace.

Third grade began working on their painted paper heart collage. Let's just say it is more chaos than any other project. Monday's class is always my test class and by Wednesday I am a master at organizing my teaching style. This lesson is also from www.deepspacesparkle.com. Pattie is a creative lady and I just love her ideas. This has become one of my favorite lesson because I get to make art centers in my room.
The last two days the drying rack is very full and I love those days!
