Our Kiln

We are so lucky to have our own kiln in our art room. After a ceramics class over the winter holiday break, I felt somewhat confident enough to fire the old lady up. Once the first time was over I am now a pro. I am not scared to load it up and fire it up. Kindergarden has been lucky enough to the only grade to all complete their ceramics (for Mother's Day). My 1st and 2nd graders are working on a cow and 3rd graders a bird's next (also known as a coil pot). My art majors have made their own bowl and now are using red clay to make a large coil pot.
